Living Near an Asphalt Plant

home image

DUST from blasting settles on cars, windows, siding, outdoor furniture, equipment and toys. This means more maintenance and cleaning.

Family PETS and LIVESTOCK can become anxious and stressed when blasting occurs.

NOISE from the quarry, heavy truck traffic and the asphalt plant operation travels, especially at night.

FUMES and ALLERGENS in the air can worsen medical conditions like asthma, emphysema and allergies.

VIBRATIONS from blasting can result in cracks in foundations, walls and ceilings.

CLEARING TREES and DISTURBING WETLANDS to expand a quarry and build a crushing operation and an asphalt plant will displace wildlife and destroy habitats for animals and birds.

Do you want to live near this?
